Weldability Limited. Before welding sheet/plates should be heated to temperature 190 – 300°C
After welding the stress relief annealing at temperature 750 do 800°C
Cooling in air should be used
Heat resistance Heat resistance up to temperature 800°C

Heat resistance up to temperature 950°C and high resistance to effect of gases including sulphur compounds

                          Formability

Hot working: The range of hot working temperature 1100 - 750°C
Cold working: Cold working is made difficult and heating to forming operation is necessary


HADFIELD STEEL (marking X120Mn12, 110G12) depending on the type and standard of the steel contains ~ 1.00 - 1.30% carbon and 11.00 - 14.00% (sometimes more) of manganese, the ratio of carbon to manganese is approximately 1:10. The steel has a very high resistance to abrasion and at the same time it has high impact resistance. Strengthens crumple under the influence of deformation. This steel is made for blasting - exposed to the shot-blasting, baskets of excavators, tram and rail turnouts, jaw crushers, sleeves for tracking chains, prison bars, etc.
